SK텔레콤이 ‘오픈소스’ 활용을 위한 체계적 관리(컴플라이언스) 시스템을 갖췄음을 국제적으로 인정받았다.

SK텔레콤(대표이사 박정호, www.sktelecom.com)은 국제표준화기구(ISO, Interna-tional Organization for Standardization)로부터 오픈소스 컴플라이언스 관련 표준인증(ISO/IEC 5230)을 획득했다고 9일 밝혔다.

‘데보션’은 개발자들을 위한 영감의 바다(Developer’s Ocean)라는 뜻으로, 개발자들이 지식과 경허을 공유하는 커뮤니티를 ‘바다’에 비유했다.

SRT Alliance Welcomes SKT to the SRT Open Source Video Streaming Project

SK Telecom becomes the first SRT Alliance member to apply SRT for enhanced 5G video streaming services

MONTREAL, CANADA – March 30, 2021 – The SRT Alliance, established by Haivision (TSX: HAI), a leading global provider of mission-critical, real-time video streaming and networking solutions, today announced that SK Telecom (hereinafter referred to as “SKT”), Korea’s largest wireless telecommunications operator, has joined the SRT Alliance to support and adopt the SRT open source protocol.

SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is a free open source video transport protocol and technology stack originally developed and pioneered by Haivision that enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low latency video across the public internet. With over 450 members in the SRT Alliance and widespread industry adoption, SRT is the fastest growing open source streaming project.

SKT has implemented SRT for the secure and reliable transport of real-time low latency video over 5G networks, a first for the SRT Alliance. It is also actively working with Haivision to establish SRT as the industry standard in the IETF. Through its 5G MEC-based security video system development project named Hwangsaeul, SKT has already achieved 4K streaming over 5G networks with SRT and is currently developing an intelligent bandwidth-aware streaming technology suitable for challenging network environments.

We will utilize SRT to develop secure and reliable ultra-low latency real-time video streaming solutions so as to provide our customers with differentiated value and experience,” said Kim Jeong-seok, manager, Smart Space & Care Technology Development Team, SKT.

SK텔레콤이 배달의민족 자율주행로봇 ‘딜리드라이브’에 활용한 5세대(5G) 이동통신용 초저지연 영상전송기술을 공개했다.

8일 현재 SK텔레콤은 영상전송기술 ‘황새울(hwangsaeul)’ 프로젝트 정보와 소스코드를 오픈소스 소프트웨어(SW) 공유 웹사이트 ‘깃허브(GitHub)‘에서 제공하고 있다. 오픈소스는 SW를 소유한 기업·개발자가 그 코드를 다른 개발자가 쓸 수 있게 공개한 것이다.

SK텔레콤 연구진들이 한국어 뉴스나 문서를 읽고 고품질 요약문을 만들어내는 능력이 뛰어난 인공지능(AI) 언어처리 모델을 조용히 공개했다. 이로써 SK텔레콤은 자연어처리(NLP) 분야 가운데 문장이나 글이 전달하는 의미를 짚는 ‘자연어이해(NLU·Natural Language Understanding)’ 영역 기술력을 강화할 수 있게 됐다.

10일 현재 SK텔레콤 테크(T3K) 센터가 운영하는 깃허브(GitHub) 저장소에는 ‘코바트(KoBART)‘라는 개발 프로젝트의 소스코드가 공개돼 있다. 이는 작년 10월 공개된 ‘코버트(KoBERT)‘와 올해 2월 공개된 ‘한국어 GPT-2(KoGPT2)‘에 이어, SK텔레콤 연구진이 만들어 공개한 세 번째 AI 언어처리 모델이다.

SK텔레콤 ‘AI랭귀지테크랩스(ALT Labs)’ 연구원들은 한국어를 잘 다루는 AI ‘코버트(KoBERT)‘와 ‘KoGPT2’를 잇따라 개발했다.

KoBERT의 원형은 구글이 지난 2018년 10월 공개한 버트(BERT)이며, KoGPT2의 원형은 오픈AI가 지난해 공개한 GPT-2다. BERT는 영어 읽기, GPT-2는 영어 쓰기에 특출난 ‘언어 신동’ AI로 유명세를 얻었다. SK텔레콤은 이들에게 한국어를 열심히 가르친 결과, 내부 업무에 활용해 성과를 얻었고, 지난해 10월 KoBERT를, 올해 2월엔 KoGPT2를 각각 오픈소스로 공개했다.

SKT-AWS, 한국어 자연어처리기술 'KoGPT-2' 오픈소스로 공개

SK텔레콤과 AWS는 양사 NLP 지식과 학습 경험을 기반으로 KoGPT-2 모델을 학습시켰다. SK텔레콤이 제공한 한국어 데이터셋과 AWS 서비스를 활용해 한국어 모델을 개발, 학습했다.

KoGPT-2는 수정 MIT 라이선스(Modified MIT License) 아래 SKT AIX 센터 깃허브 저장소(https://github.com/SKT-AI/KoGPT2)에서 이용 가능하다.
